Jesus ; the Triune God

GOD IS A TRIUNE GOD

The word trinity is not used in Scripture, but the meaning of “three-in-one” is very evidently set forth. Beginning with the very first verse in the Bible, the Hebrew language says: “In the beginning God [Elohim, a three-person word] created [ a singular word] the heaven [ a two-number word; two heavens were created, the third heaven is eternal] and the earth [singular]” (Gen. 1:1). Then in verse 26, God said, “Let US make man in OUR image.” Did God refer to the angels with that plural word? No. The next verse answers that. “So God created man in His own image.”
The Bible teaches that God the Father is God (Rom. 1:7).
God the Son is called God (Col. 2:9 ; Heb. 1:8).
God the Holy Spirit is called God (Acts 5:3,4)
All three Persons have the unique attributes of God. All are equal in glory, in power, and in characteristics. The name of God is never coupled with men or other persons as it is in the benediction found in II Corinthians 13:14 “The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holt Spirit, be with you all. Amen.” Consider the great commision in Matthew 28:19, 20: ” Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.” How inappropo it would be to say, “In the name of the Father and of the Son and of Ron Weinland.” God’s name is only coupled only with God.
At the baptism of Jesus, we find the Trinity represented all at the same time. Jesus is being baptized, the Holy Spirit descended in the form of a dove, and the Father spoke from Heaven. Jesus Himself says in John 14:16, 17 : ” I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter…. the Spirit of Truth.”
Then what is meant by Christ being called the “Son of God” ? Does this mean that Christ is created by God the Father ? Christ is the ETERNAL Son. Being the Son of God refers to His relationship and not to His origin. Christ was never created by God the Father, for He is Himself God. Look up these versus that actually called Christ God : 1 Timothy 3:15 ; John 1:1-3, 14 ; Romans 9:5 ; 1 John 5:20 ; 1 Timothy 3:16: Matthew 1:23.
Christ was physically “begotten by the Father” when He was born a human being , and He is also called the “first begotten from the dead” when He rose from the grave (Col. 1:18). The Jehovah of the Old Testament is the Lord in the New Testament and both refer to the LORD GOD and the LORD Jesus Christ (Acts 2: 32-36).
God is one in essence and one in Godhead, but three in Person. “The Lord our God is one Lord” (Deut. 6:4 ). Then how can He be three in Person? The Hebrew word used here -one- is again a plural word. It has the same meaning as when God says husband and wife shall be one flesh. It has a compound unity just as we speak of one family (which is made up of several members ) or one herd of cattle, or one crowd.
Nature has many trinities. Man is made up of body soul and spirit. Electricity has light, feeling, and heat. An equilateral triangle has three equal angles, and three equal sides. But none of these correctly illustrate the Trinity because God the Father is not a part of God, or the Son or the Holy Spirit a part of God. Each is fully God. Perhaps we could use the illustration of the chemical formula H2O. When two parts hydrogen and one part oxygen are liquid, they are called water. When they are hot, they produce steam; when they are cold, they are ice. All three forms are the same chemical formula, but are manifested in different forms. God is one in essence but three in Person.

THE MYSTERY OF GODLINESS

John 9: 56-59 : [Jesus speaking] “Your father Abraham rejoiced to see MY day, and he saw it and was glad.” The the Jews said to Him, “You are not yet fifty years old, and have You seen Abraham?”
Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you before Abraham was, I AM.”
Then they {the Jews} took up stones to throw at Him…

1 Tim. 3:16. ” And without controversy great is the ‘MYSTERY OF GODLINESS’: GOD was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.”

The above Scriptures show that Jesus claimed to be eternal God and became a man [God was manifest in the flesh].
Please read John 1: 1-4 for more proof…. Jesus is the eternal Word [God] that became flesh.

An inheritance gained by taking a stand against sin.

Filed under: Christianity, False Christians, False Prophets, John Hagee, Religon — Tags: , , — jasmine71 @ 7:34 pm

A great devotional by Pastor John Hagee regarding taking a stand against sin. We as Christians must be a light for Christ in the darkness……Speak up God fearing Christians…Speak up against all sin!

Ecclesiastes 9:14-18—
There was a little city with few men in it; and a great king came against it, besieged it, and built great snares around it. Now there was found in it a poor wise man, and he by his wisdom delivered the city.Yet no one remembered that same poor man. Then I said: “Wisdom is better than strength. Nevertheless the poor man’s wisdom is despised, and his words are not heard. Words of the wise, spoken quietly, should be heard rather than the shout of a ruler of fools. Wisdom is better than weapons of war; but one sinner destroys much good.”
Instead of a city, there is a little Kibbutz (farm) called Nir Oz, in Israel. It is located within a stone’s throw of Gaza. This farm also has few men in it…none during the day and only a few at night, consisting of field workers and security guards, to try to harvest a bountiful potato crop.
Now why would a farmer have to harvest his crop at night, guarded by men with M-16 rifles? Because Palestinian sniper fire has turned Nir Oz fields into a battlefield and has forced farmers to use “wisdom” against the “weapons of war.”

Now you might be thinking, “So what’s new? This is just another battle in Middle East turmoil. What does this have to do with me?” Well, considering that 2008 has been dubbed the “International Year of the Potato” by the UN in an effort to promote the potato as a potential solution to food shortages involving wheat and rice, we all might have a bit of interest in the plight of a potato farmer risking his life and livelihood to produce this once obscure vegetable which now holds promise for the hungry. We must pray that the wise men, driving armor-plated harvesters, deliver the little Kibbutz from those who besiege them and take a lesson from their tenacity.
An Inheritance Gained by Fighting
Both Israel and the church will gain their inheritance by fighting. Israel gained the Promised Land by fighting. They received the miracle of the walls coming down at Jericho, and then they had to fight their way through the rest of the land. God says of Israel, “You are My battle-ax and weapons of war: for with you I will break the nations in pieces; with you I will destroy kingdoms” (Jeremiah. 51:20). And now God says through Paul to the church, “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds” (2Cor. 10:3). “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places” (Eph. 6:12). God is saying to the church, “Your destiny is being a battle-ax in the hand of God to pull down the strongholds of iniquity.”

The evil day is not coming; the evil day is here. We are in a fight to the finish. There is not a crown without a cross. There is not a victory without a fight. Paul said to the church, “Fight the good fight of faith. Endure hardness as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. Take a stand and fight.” Take a stand against abortion. Every child has a right to life when they are conceived in the womb of their mother. Take a stand against government corruption. Speak out against immorality. We are here to please God and nobody else! You cannot cower in the corner and claim to be a follower of Jesus Christ. (Life Plan Study Bible, p. 1395)

Terrorist group members complain such announcements don’t serve interests

JAFFA, Israel – A Hamas official’s claim his group held a meeting with advisers to President-elect Barack Obama has prompted infighting within the terrorist group, with some top members complaining such announcements do not serve its long-term interests, WND has learned.

Ahmed Yousef, Hamas’ chief political adviser in Gaza, told the leading Al-Hayat Arabic-language newspaper earlier this week Hamas held a meeting with Obama aides in Gaza and has maintained regular communication.

“We were in contact with a number of Obama’s aides through the Internet and later met with some of them in Gaza, but they advised us not to come out with any statements, as they may have a negative effect on his election campaign and be used by Republican candidate John McCain (to attack Obama),” Yousef told Al-Hayat.

Obama’s senior foreign policy adviser, Denis McDonough, told the Jerusalem Post Monday, “This assertion is just plain false.”

Then, in a well-circulated but false report, the Xinhua-China news agency claimed Hamas released a statement yesterday denying it held any meetings with Obama advisers.

The statement, obtained by WND, did not deny the terror group met with Obama aides.

“The report in Al-Hayat was not accurate,” began the carefully worded Hamas statement, without identifying which part was inaccurate.

“Hamas does not comment on our private diplomatic activities. Ahmed Yousef’s statement and his opinions represent himself only. He is not a Hamas spokesman,” read the official Hamas statement.

A top Hamas source said Yousef’s announcement of meetings with Obama aides generated a “small crisis” within the terror group.

“We were not ready to make any such announcements,” the Hamas source said. “Yousef needs to hold his enthusiasm and stop making these statements that are not coordinated with all of the Hamas leadership.”

Contacted directly by WND, the offices of Ismail Haniyeh, the former Hamas prime minister, and Mahmoud al-Zahar, chief of Hamas in Gaza, both refused to deny the report of Hamas meetings with Obama aides.

Yousef could not be reached by WND for comment. Hamas sources said Yousef was directed to refrain from talking to the media for an unspecified period of time. It wasn’t clear which Obama aides Hamas is claiming to have met in Gaza.

Yousef gave WND a series of recent interviews in which he praised Obama as the leading candidate. Last week, he called Obama’s win a “historic victory” for the world and told WND that Hamas was sending a letter of congratulation to the president-elect.

Six months ago, Robert Malley, a Mideast expert described as an ancillary adviser to Obama, resigned amid a report in a London newspaper that he had contact with Hamas. According to some media reports, Malley is again representing Obama’s positions in meetings in Egypt and Syria, although it wasn’t immediately clear whether he was acting independently. FrontPageMagazine.com claims Malley was dispatched by Obama.

A senior Israeli security source told WND today Malley indeed recently represented Obama in meetings in Egypt and Syria.

Hamas is responsible for scores of suicide bombings, rocket attacks, shootings and cross-border raids. Its official charter calls for the murder of Jews and destruction of Israel. Just today, Hamas members took responsibility for launching dozens of rockets from Gaza aimed at Jewish civilian population centers.

Last week, Yousef told WND of Obama’s win: “This is a historic day, a turning point. I think this is the very first time in history that one country’s election concerned everyone everywhere all over [the] world. Everybody is looking forward to Obama’s change, for a change in the U.S. policy, particularly in the Israeli-Palestinian equation, which is the mother of all conflicts.”

Yousef said he believes an Obama administration will be more willing to engage in dialogue with Hamas.

He said Obama’s job will be to “restore America’s dignity in the world and put an end to the wars in the region.”

Yousef took the occasion to blast the policies of President Bush, commenting he hopes “that after January the Bush administration will not be heard from again.”

“We are sick of wars and conflict,” the Hamas official said.

Yousef seemed aware his comments may generate some negative publicity for Obama, but he said he feels it important to “reach out and to express our thoughts and engage.”

“I praised him six months ago, some people tried to use that against him. But I knew he would win. Like everyone else, we expected this important victory,” he said.

Yousef was referring to an interview he gave to WND and WABC Radio in April in which he praised Obama and then found his comments had fueled a firestorm of accusations in the presidential campaign.

In April, Yousef stated he hoped Obama would become president, comparing the Illinois senator to President John F. Kennedy.

“We like Mr. Obama, and we hope that he will win the election,” Yousef told WND at the time.

“I hope Mr. Obama and the Democrats will change the political discourse. … I do believe [Obama] is like John Kennedy, a great man with a great principle. And he has a vision to change America to make it in a position to lead the world community, but not with humiliation and arrogance,” Yousef said.

Sen. John McCain repeatedly used Yousef’s remarks to criticize Obama’s judgment and foreign policy.

The Mosaic Law does not give salvation.

The MOSAIC Law WAS NOT GIVEN TO THE GENTILES. – Romans 2:14 When the Gentiles, WHICH HAVE NOT THE LAW do by nature the things contained in the Law,these, having NOT THE LAW, are a law unto themselves.
The “Law” was given to Israel exclusively. For example, take the “Law of the Sabbath”. It was not given to the Gentiles. It was given as the sign of the ” Mosaic Covenant.” Ex 31:13. Ez 20:12, 19-21. The “Sabbath Day” belongs to the Jews alone and is not binding on the Gentiles (the World), or the Church (Christians) , though Christians are expected to observe the “First Day of the Week” for rest and worship. Nowhere in the Bible do we find God finding fault with any nation or people, except the Jews, for not observing the Sabbath. As a Jewish ordinance it has never been abrogated, changed, or transferred to any other day of the week, or to any other people. It is now in abeyance as fortold in Hosea 2:11, 3: 4-5, it would be. It is to be resumed when the Jews are nationally restored to their own land ( circa 1948 forward). Isa. 66 :23. Ez. 44:24, 46:1-3. The “Law” was not given to JUSTIFY men, for by the “deeds of the Law” shall no flesh be justified in God”s sight. Rom. 3:20. Gal. 2:16. The “Law” was given that men might know what sin is, “for by the ‘Law’ is the knowledge of sin,” (Rom. 3:20), for men would have not known that , for example, “covetousness” was sin, if the “Law” had not said -“Thou shall not covet.” -Romans 7:7. The “Law” was given to “stop men’s mouths,” and keep men from boasting of their own righteousness and see themselves guilty before God. Rom. 3:19. The “Law” was given to be a “Schoolmaster” to lead men to Christ. Gal. 3:24-25….Now that Christ has come neither Jew nor Gentile is under the ” Mosaic Law.” for HE fulfilled the “Law”, that is all the rites and ceremonies of the “Law” found their fulfilment in Him. Christ then is the ‘END OF THE LAW’ for Righteousness to every one that BELIEVETH.” Rom. 10:4. Therefore Believers are “DEAD TO THE LAW,” (Rom. 7:4. Gal. 2:19), that is, they are no longer under the bondage of “LEGALISM”, but under GRACE.

“By Grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves ; it is the GIFT OF GOD; not of WORKS (or keeping the “Law”), lest any man should boast.” – Eph 2: 8-9
No man is justified by his works, but as a Believer he will be rewarded for his works. We are not to work to the Cross, but from the Cross.

SALVATION

“For I am not ashamed of the ‘Gospel of Christ’; for it is the POWER OF GOD UNTO SALVATION to every one that believeth.” Romans 1: 16. The “Power” of the Gospel lies in the “BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST.”
“The BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST His Son, cleanseth us from all sin.” – 1 John 1:7

IN SUMMARY

So again, we see that it is not works or keeping the “Law” that saves us, BUT WE ARE SAVED THROUGH GOD’s grace through the BLOOD of His Son the LORD Jesus by FAITH.
John 3:16. John 1:17. Titus 2:11 . Eph. 2:8

Again Romans 1:16 – the Gospel is the “POWER OF GOD UNTO SALVATION TO EVERY ONE THAT BELIEVETH.”
THE GOSPEL IS ” For God so loved the world that HE gave HIS only begotton Son, that whosoever believeth in HIM should not perish, but have everlasting life.” – John 3:16
This is written by:
~ REV C LARKIN EST.
Again
The “Law” was given to to keep men from boasting of their own righteousness and see themselves guilty before God -Roman. 3:19,20
The “Law” is to be a “Schoolmaster” to lead men to Christ. Gal. 3:24-25… We ,as the Body of Christ, are to be the LIGHT of the World and are to show the World what sin is and their need for Christ as Savior. We are to keep the “Law” as best as we can ; BUT Keeping the “Law” does NOT SAVE us from sin. You can’t put the cart before the horse people. Keeping the “Law” and living a HOLY life is the EVIDENCE that you have been saved by the LORD; evidence that a person truly accepted Jesus as LORD and SAVIOR with a sincere heart.

Where are we going now ?

The road – to where?

——————————————————————————–

“But Daddy … where does this new road go?”

“I don’t know, son. Nobody does yet. It’s never been traveled by anybody. And even the man who sold us on it doesn’t know yet where it will go. But he gave such great speeches about it, and did such a super job of selling the public on it, that a slight majority of our friends and fellow citizens bought the idea – hook, line and sinker – of taking the new road.”

“But if we don’t know where it will take us, do we have to go?”

“‘Fraid so, son. See, that’s the way this thing called democracy works. We hold an election and vote (at least some of us do), and then whatever the decision is, we all have to go along. A lot of us are afraid this road won’t take us to the paradise the salesman was promising, and we really wish we didn’t have to take this ride together. Even the salesman, who got the people to let him drive, has to admit he’s never been down this road before – or even driven a bus – but we all have to get on and take a four-year ride together. We’ll all go to the same place, no matter where the road takes us, and if it’s good we’ll all be happy. If it’s not so good, or even a terrible mistake that costs us dearly, we really will have only ourselves to blame.”

“Why, Daddy? Why will we be to blame?”

(Column continues below)

“Because, son, as a group of people, we bought what the salesman was telling us he could do, and where this road would take us. And even though we knew he had very little experience with this kind of thing, his words sounded so good – almost magical – that the majority decided to overlook … oh, a lot of things. Things about his background and hints of his motives and things he would probably want to do if we let him drive. We just decided to roll the dice and take a big, big chance that he could do everything he was promising.”

“Well, what do you think, Daddy? Can he – will he – take us where we want to go?”

“Son, we won’t know for a while. Since none of us, not even the driver, have been down this road before, we can’t know yet where it will lead us. But it’s been decided for us now. A lot of us were worried and voted to take another road, with a more experienced driver, but the majority had its way, and now we all have to get on the bus and ride together, wherever this new road takes us.”

“But Daddy, what if … What if it’s the wrong road and he gets us lost? What if we run out of gas, or out of money, or if robbers attack us, or too many people get on without tickets and we don’t have enough food or room for everybody? What if he decides to take us where we don’t want to go and won’t listen to us? What if he’s not even a good driver and can’t find the way to all the nice places he promised us? Can we at least get off?”

“Probably not, son. No, it’ll be four years up this road before we can do anything about where this driver wants to take us. We can pray that he’ll get good guidance, for all of our sakes. He says he believes in God, and we hope he really does, and that he will really open his heart and mind for God’s direction. Some of us are very worried about who he’ll listen to, because the pastor he chose to listen to for 20 years did say a lot of things that don’t sound God-like at all, and we wonder how much he was already influenced by men like that. But we’ll all be praying for him.”

“If he really believes in God, that will be good, won’t it, Daddy?”

“Of course, son, and many of us believe he does. He says he does, and that he’s a Bible-believing Christian. It’s just that … well, some of the things he’s for and wants to bring along on the ride with all of us don’t square at all with the Bible he says he believes.”

“Like what, Daddy?”

“Well, son, things like allowing the continued killing of unborn little babies – 50 million and counting in the last 35 years. He says he’ll try to reduce the number of those deaths, but will do everything he can to preserve the terrible ruling that led to them. And he thinks it’s OK to change the definition of marriage – as between a man and a woman, like your mother and me – and to allow any two men or women to call themselves ‘married.’ Even though God, in the Bible, says that’s not right, this driver promises that folks who do these things can ride on the bus with the rest of us and he’ll see that they get what they want. Things like that make many of us worry about his character and his moral judgment; a really good driver should have both of those, if he’s going to get us where we need to go.

“And from what he’s said, he may change the fares, at least for many of us, as we go along. He thinks some should pay a lot more than others, and some should just ride for free. By the time we reach the end of this road, a lot of us may have very little left, no matter how hard we’ve worked and saved.”

“Daddy, I’m scared. Do we have to get on the bus?”

“Yes, son, we do have to. But you and I, and your mom and little sister, and lots of the other passengers on this bus will pray like we almost never have before. We’ll pray for God to speak to the driver and show him the way we need to go, not just the way he and other passengers want to go. It may be a very bumpy ride, and there may be some big delays and detours along the way. But let’s pray for the driver and his family and the people he listens to for advice. God actually promises us that if we’ll pray for those in authority, we may all lead peaceable and godly lives.

“Fasten your seat belt, son. And let’s start praying, right now.”

The propitious smiles of Heaven can never be expected on a nation that disregards the eternal rules of order and right which Heaven itself has ordained.

Is this the end of America?

——————————————————————————–

© 2008

For 232 years, America has been the boldest, most successful experiment in personal liberty in the history of the world.

Today, many Americans are wondering whether that experiment has run its course – that we might be on the verge of trading our unique heritage of independent, sovereign, limited constitutional republicanism for interdependent globalism and virtually unlimited central government power unbridled by constitutional and moral restraints.

I am one of those wondering.

While I am not prepared to throw in the towel and give up, I believe it is absolutely essential that those who share my concerns reconsider their strategies for the future.

First of all, let me share what I think is the good news about Election Day – the silver lining beneath the dark cloud of Obamamania that has seemingly swept up our country in a semi-hypnotic trance of euphoric irrationality.

For some time, including in my widely misunderstood book, “None of the Above,” I have been trying to explain the pragmatic inevitability of these election results. Even if John McCain had figured out a way to beat Barack Obama in 2008, America was going to be saddled with him four years from now.

(Column continues below)

Let me go over this again. Neither of these candidates has or had the answers to address America’s most fundamental economic problems – and the concerns that literally handed Obama the White House. Had McCain been elected, his failed policy prescriptions – bailouts, higher government spending disguised as “economic stimulus packages,” tax plans that inhibit economic growth, energy policies whose very foundation is laid on a faulty assumption of manmade, catastrophic climate change and open immigration policies – would have resulted in more misery, more dislocation, more pain, more dissatisfaction. Congressional Democrats, who are great at pointing fingers of blame for their own failed policies, would do just that – claim McCain was the culprit. And a more experienced Barack Obama running for president in 2012 would be unstoppable.

Meanwhile, with McCain in the White House for four years, he would have remade the Republican Party in his own image – preventing the growth of a real alternative party based on the winning principles of freedom so clearly articulated by Ronald Reagan in the 1980s.

I have to tell you, again. We’re better off dealing with Obama and his radical agenda now, rather than being saddled with a president who is a Republican in name only – one whose own policy prescriptions would prove disastrous for the nation and his party’s future.

So, the silver lining is that a re-energized Republican Party, responsive to its base, has a chance to make great inroads in the Congress just two years from now and to find a new face of principled leadership for 2012.

After all, don’t we know that the Democrats’ socialist agenda is going to fail? Doesn’t socialism always fail? Didn’t we go through this in the Jimmy Carter years? Didn’t those years pave the way for the Reagan Revolution? Didn’t overreaching by Bill and Hillary Clinton in the first two years of their co-presidency result in the Republicans taking over the House of Representatives for the first time in 40 years?

Yes, there is going to be pain for many of us in the next four years. I fully expect Obama and the Democrats to press an agenda that is repressive and intended to keep them in power for a thousand years. They will push through a “Fairness Doctrine” to muzzle free speech on the broadcast airwaves. They will use their power to redraw district lines to protect their incumbents. They will rig the rules of campaign financing. They will encourage voter fraud through the taxpayer funding of groups like ACORN. They will use the courts to rewrite our Constitution.

But, at the end of the day, their policies are going to accomplish two things:

expose their own true nature as illiberal authoritarian thugs who will do anything to empower themselves;

wreck the economy even further – with no one else to blame for their failed socialist policies.
In other words, we have an opportunity to watch the Democrats self-destruct over the next four years. We need to be ready to pick up the pieces – to seize the opportunity that will surely be there in the next two to four years.

It is, indeed, a dark day in America. It’s unfortunate that enough Americans have been seduced into voting for a false political messiah. It is, indeed, a dangerous time for America. It’s unfortunate that enough Americans have been seduced into voting for a man totally inexperienced and unqualified for the office of the presidency.

But this election presents freedom-loving Americans with unique opportunities to reclaim their country relatively quickly – beginning in 2010 and 2012.

There’s a lot of work to do. The challenges will be great. It will not just happen on its own. Just as Barack Obama and the Democrats put together a winning strategy in 2008, those of us who steadfastly oppose their evil and hopelessly failed policies of the past must begin planning a political revolution of our own.

Godly or ungodly?

Filed under: Christianity, False Prophets, John Hagee, Religon — Tags: , , — jasmine71 @ 7:41 pm

A great devotional from a godly pastor , John Hagee.

My question to you , the Christian reader; Are you “standing in the path of sinners” ? Maybe a more important question should be raised first; Are you godly? If you are, you must realize that in order to be blessed of God you can not walk in the counsel of the ungodly, stand in the path of sinners nor sit in the seat of the scornful. Here is the devotional:

Blessed is the Man

Psalm 1:1—
“Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly.
Nor stands in the path of sinners. Nor sits in the seat of the scornful”.

When young stars of popular youth-oriented TV shows were recently asked what was the best advice ever given to them by their parents. They all answered with the “be happy… and be true to yourself,” theme.

At the same time, the results of a federal study claim that, “at least one in four American girls has a sexually transmitted disease.”
This shows that the advice is working! Left to our own devices we are sure to fail (The heart is deceitful about all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it (Jeremiah 17:9)? However, God has given us advice that brings true happiness…to not walk in the counsel of the ungodly.

The Power of Negative Thinking
We live in a constant state of seeking happiness. In our pursuit of happiness, psychologists tell us to think positively. God tells us, though, to emphasize the power of negative thinking by explaining what we should not do in order to be happy.

To be blessed or happy, we should not walk in the counsel of the ungodly. ‘Who are the ungodly: Murderers, robbers, and the like generally come to mind first. However, the Bible tells us that the ungodly are oral people who live their lives without God. These may be very nice people in our communities who have “fine” reputations, but they do not have God.

Two Groups of People
There are two groups of people in the world—the godly and the ungodly. Jesus said, “He who is not with Me is against Me” (Matt. 12:30). The person who is “with Me” is the one who has confessed the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior. He attends the house of God regularly, has a prayer life, studies the Word of God, gives of his time and resources, and serves the Lord God. If he is not doing these things, then he is ungodly.

To be happy, we should not stand in the path of sinners. To “stand” means to take their position and openly accept their sinful lifestyle. We live in such a permissive society. Nothing seems to be considered wrong anymore. The counsel of the ungodly has given old sins new names with the goal of making them more acceptable. Adultery is free love. A liar is an extrovert with a big imagination. A thief is a creative financier. Sin is not what I say it is. Sin is not what the media says it is. Sin is what God says it is, and His labels do not change.

Delight in God
To be happy, we should not listen to the scornful, who ridicule anyone with faith in God. The scornful are the doctors of damnation, who proclaim salvation to be unnecessary. To be happy, we need to listen to those who preach, teach, and live the gospel of a loving Savior. We are to delight and meditate in God’s law day and night (v.2).

God plants every godly life in fertile soil (v. 3). You have a choice to be like a tree planted by a stream of living water lush with green leaves and full of fruit, or you can be like a handful of worthless chaff driven by the wind (v. 4). What choice will you make? Do you walk with the ungodly? Do you stand with sinners? Do you sit with the scornful? Are you happy? Choose to say no to sin and yes to God.

Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.
Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth:

That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.

Matthew 6: 1-4

Today we’ll find out if Americans have really bought the lie that Barack Obama and his Democratic Party compatriots actually care about helping ordinary people, improving the lot of working people, aiding the destitute.

I don’t believe it for a minute. And, even if I did believe they were sincere about these goals, I recognize their methods – forcibly taking wealth and property from some and redistributing it to others of their choice – would never actually achieve their stated goals of reducing poverty.

But let’s focus today on motives.

Some people suggest you can’t really read someone’s heart. Some people think you can’t judge people’s actions or inactions. Some people seem to believe compassion is measured by how high you are willing to impose taxes on your neighbor.

I disagree.

(Column continues below)

I think virtue is measured by what you sacrifice willingly to help your neighbor, your family, your friends, your country.

By that standard, Barack Obama, Joe Biden and the Democratic Party get a failing grade.

In his own book, “Dreams From My Father,” Obama writes affectionately about his “Auntie Zeituni.”

Barack Obama is a millionaire today – on the verge of winning the presidency.

What has he done about checking on the welfare of his beloved Aunt Zeituni Onyango, one of the children of Barack Obama’s grandfather?

Apparently nothing. Barack Obama is too busy planning ways to change the country and save the planet to reach out a helping hand to an elderly relative in obvious need. It took the London Times to discover she lives in a disabled-access apartment in a rundown public housing complex in South Boston.

Aunt Zeituni joins other Obama relatives in varying states of destitution.

His “Uncle Omar,” also described in his autobiography, was recently beaten by armed robbers with a sawed-off rifle while working in a corner shop in the Dorchester area of Boston. He was later evicted from his one-bedroom apartment for failing to pay $2,324.20 in rent, according to the Boston Housing Court.

Then there’s the slightly better-known case of George Hussein Onyango, Obama’s half-brother in Kenya who, we learned months ago, was living on $1 a month.

What Has Barack Obama done to help any of these close relatives?

Again, apparently nothing.

That’s one of the real measures of compassion. And he has been found severely lacking.

There are other measures, too.

In 2004, the Obamas reported $207,647 in adjusted gross income and contributed a grand total of $2,500 to charity – just a hair over 1 percent of their income.

How about his running mate?

In 2004, the Bidens reported they had $234,271 in adjusted gross income and made contributions of $380.

This is what these men give freely of their own resources. They push for higher taxes for their neighbors, but are unwilling, or, as Biden might say, too unpatriotic, to fork over their own money to people in need.

With that kind of shocking record, it is amazing to me that so many Americans still believe their phony talk about compassion and duty and “the Sermon on the Mount.”

Jesus wasn’t talking about collective obligations in the Sermon on the Mount. He wasn’t talking about national obligations in the Sermon on the Mount. He wasn’t talking about community obligations in the Sermon on the Mount. He was talking about individual, personal commitments to the needy in the Sermon on the Mount.

You can’t be in obedience to Jesus’ commandments in the Sermon on the Mount because of your tax obligation. You can only be in obedience to Jesus’ commandments in the Sermon on the Mount on the basis of what you choose to do willingly as an individual.

Once again, Obama, Biden and the Democrats are like the Pharisees who made a show of piety but who betrayed the very spirit of the law.

Today, we’ll find out if that kind of public show still fools people.

Ronald Weinland under Demonic Delusion. Part 2

Another post that proves the claims of Ronald Weinland should be dismissed absolutely. The article below is written by Paul Cohen at The Path of Truth website.

Ronald Weinland – Son of Armstrong

The Fruit Does Not Fall Far from the Tree

Ronald Weinland has announced that he is God’s final prophet before the end of this age, and one of the two witnesses of Revelation 11 (his wife is the other). He has staked his claim to this high calling and office on the accuracy of the predictions he makes in the Name of God. One is that there will be a nuclear detonation in a major American city on or before July 16, 2008.

If his predictions do not come to pass, here is what Ronald says should happen:

If we come to the point in time where what I’ve said doesn’t come to pass, the reality is that I’m just a false prophet. That’s the bottom line… The reality is if it doesn’t happen, then you’re just false…I’ll acknowledge my error, my wrong, if I’m wrong.

In fact, some of his predictions, such as the total collapse of the US dollar by mid April of this year, have already not happened, and there has been no retraction forthcoming from Weinland, only excuses that spiritualize and explain away his errors. However, here is what God says about Ron’s explanations:

“But the prophet who takes it on himself to say words in My Name which I have not given him orders to say, or who says anything in the name of other gods, will come to his death. And if you say in your hearts, How are we to be certain that the word does not come from the Lord? When a prophet makes a statement in the Name of the Lord, if what he says does not take place and his words do not come true, then his word is not the Word of the Lord: the words of the prophet were said in the pride of his heart, and you are to have no fear of him” (Deuteronomy 18:20-22 BBE).

It is, of course, consistent with the nature of a false prophet to never admit that he is false. It is for true men of God to shine the Light on the false so that others may see. Jesus Christ is the Light in Whom we live and Who has sent us to expose the darkness.

Ron has chronicled a sensational account of his predictions, God’s Final Witness, which includes a horrendous loss of life that is to now occur in these last days. Let us say that there is no doubt these are the last days, with great tribulation coming upon the world such as has never been before. Since bloodshed, wars and disasters of all sorts have happened before, at many times, there is another element at work here, one that is not strictly physical. What could be more devastating than the flood in the days of Noah? No, what is different is that, in these times, God is sending forth a spiritual fire to cleanse both Heaven and earth. (This fire, though unseen, is real, just like God Himself is real, though unseen.)

Ronald’s vision and predictions are carnal. He produces lies because he walks in the pride of his corrupt heart, according to the Word of God just quoted. No doubt most people pay no attention to his words, dismissing him as another fruitcake. He is a small man with a smaller following. But it will not do to be cynical and derisive. Rather, you should walk in humility and learn to distinguish error by knowing the Truth. It does you no good to dismiss false prophets while you may equally dismiss the true.

It is no surprise that Ronald Weinland is a false prophet, because the fruit does not fall far from the tree. Ron is the product of Herbert W. Armstrong. Armstrong made many predictions that did not come to pass. He was a false prophet, though he had many true doctrines. You must know that the Kingdom of God is not found in the meat and drink of doctrines, but in righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.

Armstrong’s fruits came from the arrogance of his carnal knowledge, which he has passed along to his followers. They, having drunk their fill of his spirit of superiority, could not abide one another and allegedly split into five hundred splinter groups after his death and the break-up of his life’s work, The Worldwide Church of God.

Weinland’s doctrinal errors are not identical to Armstrong’s; he has branched out into some of his own. What is the same is that he acts on the compulsion to be “the man,” and the winner in a game where almost everyone else loses. Here we shall kill two foul birds (I speak of presumptuous flesh) with one stone.

The flesh can never vaunt itself enough. Weinland, as an example, not only lifts himself up as the only prophet of the Lord since the time of the apostles, but he also pulls down the mother of prophets and kings. He accuses Sarah, Abraham’s wife, of fomenting envy, distrust, competition, pride, jealousy, and bitterness in the Arab people through her relationship with Hagar, mother of Ishmael. He says that the current enmity that Arab Muslims have towards Jews and the West is Sarah’s fault. In other words, if Weinland were a true prophet (which he is not), he would be accusing his own mother of sin, and condemning himself as a child of the flesh. No doubt he is a child of the flesh, for here is what the Scriptures say of Sarah and of us, her children:

“But brothers, we, like Isaac, are children of promise. But then even as he born according to flesh persecuted him born according to the Spirit, so it is also now. But what does the Scripture say? ‘Cast out the slave-woman and her son; for in no way shall the son of the slave-woman inherit with the son of the free woman’” (Galatians 4:28-30 MKJV).

Peter, by the Holy Spirit, encourages daughters of faith, saying of Sarah:

“For so once indeed the holy women hoping in God adorned themselves, being in subjection to their own husbands; as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord; whose children you became, doing good and fearing no terror” (1 Peter 3:5-6 MKJV).

Weinland seeks to placate Muslims by saying that it is not their fault that they follow a megalomaniac blasphemer. He tells them that they can blame the West, which loves them only for their oil. Instead of identifying the horrible lies being fed to them from the Koran, Weinland gives them liberty to play the victim card, thus justifying their suicide bombings, murders, and other sins. We understand why Weinland does this. How can he find fault with his brother, Muhammad, who also sought to be the last prophet? In doing so he would be openly condemning himself. So he blames the children of Sarah. This is the way Satan operates. He always sides with the children of the flesh.

Weinland says that since the time of Isaac and Ishmael, “neither lineage dealt with each other with genuine care and concern; instead, animosity and deep-rooted attitudes were passed down, through both, from generation to generation…All have failed to show the way of peace which comes from God.

Israel is the only nation on earth that is known to return land to those who have aggressively sought to exterminate them. Israel has offered more rights and respect to the Muslims than the Muslims often offer to other Muslims in their own countries. Is Israel perfect? Of course not. But to lump Israel’s behavior with genocidal wars and suicidal bombings is unjust and mad. No reasonable and knowledgeable person, let alone prophet of God, would propose such an equivalency.

Here is a prediction Weinland makes that is demonstrably false. He says of what he categorizes as the last kingdom of men on earth, before God’s Kingdom consumes them all: “God has revealed that [Europe]… will become the strongest power the earth has ever known.

The image that Nebuchadnezzar saw in his dream, which God showed Daniel represented all the empires of the world, described the last kingdom as an inherently weak mixture of iron and clay. Is that not the case of our Western democracies? The United States, leading the way, cannot even subdue a small nation like Iraq. Indeed, the last days are here, and this prediction of Europe becoming super powerful is sheer nonsense.

Even now as I write, Europe is cowed into submission by a Muslim minority living within its borders. How can they fight those without when they are ruled by their enemies from within?

Weinland says that only he knows the meaning of the seven seals in the Book of Revelation:

It has to be revealed through God’s servants, and most of it was reserved to be revealed at this end-time through God’s end-time prophet – me.

But here is how John introduces his book:

“The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show unto His servants, even the things which must shortly come to pass: and He sent and signified it by His angel unto His servant John; who bare witness of the Word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, even of all things that he saw. Blessed is he that reads, and they that hear the words of the prophecy, and keep the things that are written therein: for the time is at hand” (Revelation 1:1-3 ASV).

Somebody is a liar, either the apostle John or Ronald Weinland. John says the things he wrote were to show God’s servants what would shortly happen, and this involved things they could observe and keep. He was not specifying anything as off limits – kept in store for a future audience. The time was ready even then. “Whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.”

Ron, on the other hand, says that only he understands these things and, unless you believe him, you are lost. That means there could have been no blessing for all who came before Ron, because how can there be a blessing when you cannot comprehend the prophecy and find direction in its words? You need Ron, and if you lived before Ron, too bad. If Ron is correct, John is plainly wrong to promise the reader a blessing. However, if John is wrong and what he says is a lie, then Ron also must be wrong, because he is basing his interpretation on words that cannot be trusted.

If the apostle John is in error, he could not be speaking from God. But if what John says is true, and we know that it is, then Ron is wrong, because he contradicts John’s revelation from the very outset. Clearly John’s prophecy has been for all believers since the words were recorded, and that is because the things in the book of Revelation are primarily describing happenings in the spiritual realm.

Any person that comes along and tries to tell you everything that will happen on the world stage, detail by detail, based on the Book of Revelation and Biblical prophecy is – and listen carefully because I am choosing my words carefully – full of shit. They are feeding you the end product of the digestion of the Word through their own imagination. Show me one prophet or servant of God who ever spent his time providing such information. You will not because you cannot.

What did the Son of God do? Did He explain all manner of prophecies about Himself before they happened, or after? He met certain disciples on the road to Emmaus after His resurrection and, after asking them what was happening and hearing them describe His empty grave with perplexity, He said:

“O you foolish, and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken! Ought not the Christ to have suffered these things and to enter into His glory? And beginning at Moses and all the Prophets, He expounded to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself” (Luke 24:25-27 EMTV).

Could He not have told them beforehand? Why didn’t anyone in Israel have accurate predictions regarding these prophecies before Christ entered His ministry? According to Weinland, and so many others, someone should have been able to penetrate these mysteries and know what would happen like a Hollywood director working from a script. But the Lord does not work that way. He causes us to walk by faith, not by sight, and we see the truth of His words after they are fulfilled.

Did not Mary keep all the things that the angel Gabriel spoke to her about her newborn son in her heart, pondering them? Yet she did not understand them until many years later, after Christ was crucified and risen from the dead. She went through a time when she did not accept His calling, and even questioned His sanity. Her heart was indeed pierced, as was foretold by the angel. God was not expecting her to figure it out. She had to live it out. Life is His intended end, not knowledge.

What about Jacob and his son Joseph? Why did Jacob, a man of God, not understand Joseph’s prophetic dream, though he kept the matter in mind? He did not see; his sons tricked him into thinking Joseph was dead. The matter was not known until after Joseph revealed himself to his brethren as the ruler of Egypt, the prophecy fulfilled. That is precisely the way God intended it to be. No man knows the nature of the fulfillment of prophecy until it is fulfilled.

That is the way it always works. The way of Weinland, Armstrong and company, and other groups like the Seventh Day Adventists, is the way of men, who crave the certainty of carnal knowledge and despise the spiritual substance of faith.

Weinland, however, is not satisfied with thinking himself superior in knowledge to all others today. The flesh is never sated. The universe must positively revolve around it. Not only must it win; others must lose. Ron predicts death and punishment for those scattered Armstrong followers who do not fall into line with him:

As in the story of Elijah and the ministers of Baal, the words of Elijah were upheld with great power, and God revealed through whom He was working. The same will be true in the things that will happen to members of the leadership of the scattered Church who refuse to repent and hear God’s true servant…every minister who was scattered, who fails to repent early on and return to God (with me, as God’s minister, teaching them) will die during the final three and one-half years of great tribulation. They will not be in the first resurrection, and they will not see the millennial reign of God’s Kingdom on earth.

What happened to you, Ron, that you are so bitter about being rejected by your “Church of God” brethren? “Take that, you unappreciative heretics! You would not listen to me, the man of God!” Is that the Spirit of Christ in you speaking? No, it is the spirit of man and of Satan, his sponsor. It is the man of sin in you who wages vendetta warfare on his perceived enemies. It is this same spirit that indulges the doctrine of eternal torment against those who do not agree with those religious of the “right” persuasion.

Weinland says the death of Church members is at his choice, from God. Ron, we are members of Christ’s Body, and not only do we reject your words, but we reject you as God’s last time prophet and one of the two witnesses. Put us on your hit list, and let’s see what happens. You say that the signs of God’s servants in these last days will not come through miraculous healing, but by calling down plagues on mankind. To you, the two witnesses are for destruction, not healing. So destroy us then, if you are a witness, the spokesman and prophet of God. We certainly deserve it, according to you.

But what did Jesus say to the “sons of thunder” when they proposed to destroy? Whom shall we believe, Jesus Christ, or Ronald Weinland?

“And He sent messengers before His face. And they went and entered into a village of the Samaritans to make ready for Him. And they did not receive Him, because His face was going toward Jerusalem. And seeing, His disciples James and John said, Lord, do You desire that we command fire to come down from Heaven and consume them, even as Elijah did? But He turned and rebuked them and said, You do not know of what spirit you are. For the Son of Man has not come to destroy men’s lives, but to save. And they went to another village” (Luke 9:52-56 MKJV)

It is evident that Ronald interprets Scripture by his carnal mind and hateful heart.

The Worldwide Church of God and its many splinters are not God’s Church or, more accurately, His Body. It is all simply more in the long line of breakaway movements of men’s works of the flesh, going back in time to the Catholic Church and beyond, all part of the whore of Proverbs 7 – Mystery, Babylon the Great.

People of the former and present Worldwide Church of God, you are destroying yourselves. You need to come out of your love affair with the Tree of Knowledge that leads you into the perpetual reorganizations of a dead and rotting carcass. You are forever spinning your wheels, ever learning but never arriving at knowledge of the Truth, Jesus Christ. Religion and doctrine with end time teachings are not the answer; the cross of Jesus Christ, Whom we preach, is. Come, hear, and learn of us, for we are meek and lowly. The Lord is here.

Ron says that God has not given “His people all knowledge about Himself and His Son.” Presumably Ron will teach you this, but we know that all knowledge of God is in the Son. If you have the Son, you will have that knowledge:

“But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, Who of God is made to us wisdom and righteousness and sanctification and redemption; so that, according as it is written, ‘He who glories, let him glory in the Lord’” (1 Corinthians 1:30-31 MKJV).

And:

“For who has known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ” (1 Corinthians 2:16 MKJV).

The problem for those that do not know God is not that the Lord’s hand is shortened, or that His mind is disconnected from His Body. The lack comes from not being part of His Body or not being in submission to Him, just as Ron himself is not. He is doing his own thing, which, in delusion, he calls “God,” and demands others worship what he has conceived and presented to the world.

But those who do not know the Father do not have the Son. This is not because they do not have Ron’s doctrine explained to them. When they are turned to Christ, taking up the cross and dying to this world, then they will know God, guaranteed:

“I am writing to you, fathers, because you have come to know Him Who is from the beginning. I am writing to you, young men, because you have overcome the evil one. I am writing to you, little children, because you have come to know the Father” (1 John 2:13 EMTV).

John also said:

“But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things” (1 John 2:20 MKJV)

And: “But the anointing which you received from Him abides in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as His anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true and no lie, and as He has taught you, abide in Him” (1 John 2:27 MKJV).

Today religion is everywhere and the cross of Christ nowhere. That is what the Lord told Victor in 1976 (see Prophecy – “I Am Hurting”). It is all sham profession, with devastating effects, everyone perishing for lack of the knowledge of God. The Lord brought Victor into His covenant by the cross so that others could also enter life by the laying down of their lives, too.

There is no other way. This is the sword of fire through which one must pass to have access to the Tree of Life. Death is required to have Life. On the other hand, access to the Tree of Knowledge is free; as with Weinland. One may keep his or her life while consuming the false promise of life through knowledge. Having one’s eyes opened to be like God is not the same as being joined to Him. It leads to death. Death by the cross, however, leads to life everlasting.

Another darkened, false teaching:

For centuries, the Catholic Church has been led into deception through Satan’s power, but he will exercise even greater direct control at this final end-time.

The Catholic Church was never led into deception. To say such a thing implies it was once in the Truth, which is not the case. The Catholic Church by name and nature has been the bride of Satan from the beginning. There has been no light in her at any time, for “what fellowship does light have with darkness? And what agreement does Christ have with Belial?” (2 Corinthians 6:14-15)

Therefore, how can she be led into greater deception? How can slaves of sin come under greater control? This is sheer nonsense and fear mongering, giving glory to Satan as though he wields any power outside of the will of God. God is the One calling the shots, and the One to acknowledge as doing all things:

“I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things” (Isaiah 45:7 KJV).

Weinland also teaches some common diabolical doctrines, such as soul sleep (“The dead are unconscious.”), annihilation (“The wicked are annihilated.”), and that Lucifer is a fallen angel who led a revolt in Heaven, rather than a man in history, which the Bible shows him to be (“Satan was once a good being.”). He teaches that a change of nature into Christ comes by human willpower. He says it is up to man to choose salvation, which is a ubiquitous false gospel that disregards the entire testimony of Scripture that God, not man, chooses (“Accept Jesus as your personal Saviour and you will be saved.”).

Weinland predicts great wars and carnage wiping out huge tracts of mankind. Why will these billions die? He writes: “Simply put, mankind does not want God’s way. People must learn what their selfish ways produce.” Yet how can people learn if they are sold out to sin, killed, and eventually annihilated, which is what Ron says will happen if they do not choose to do right after they are resurrected? With this latter fate, their lives and deaths are in vain. This god of Weinland is a vicious and sore loser, and he is decidedly unglorified by his works. And Ron is like his god.

Like Armstrong, Weinland advocates salvation by works, a prime example being the keeping of the physical Feasts of the Law of Moses (Passover, Pentecost and Tabernacles). Those who advocate these have never known or kept them in the Spirit, the only way possible today. (See Victor Hafichuk’s Testimony and The Feast-Keeping that Is Sin.) According to Weinland, the Jews do not know God because they do not keep the Passover on the correct date. But the Jews, along with Weinland, do not know God because they have not received and eaten of the Passover Lamb. Externals like dates and physical ordinances have nothing to do with His salvation.

Another of Armstrong’s false teachings is that Britain and the US are primarily constituted by the lost tribes of Israel. This is a fallacy that fosters pride, trying to gain spiritual credibility in the flesh. That can never be. Ellen Kavanaugh provides very pointed Scriptural evidence that destroys this myth:

http://www.lightofmashiach.org/losttribes.html

One place where Armstrong was right, however, was that he “fully believed that the Yahweh of the Old Testament writings was Jesus Christ, who would later divest Himself of His Godly power in order to be born human of His mother, Mary.” Weinland disagrees here, believing he has transcended his predecessor. He teaches that Jesus Christ is not God the Father Who existed from eternity. This leads him into making stupid statements that directly contradict the Scriptures, such as:

Jesus Christ was not the ETERNAL (Yahweh) of the Old Testament…Jesus Christ was dead when He was in the tomb. He had no life in Him. He was not eternal! God, His Father, had to raise Him from the dead.

But Jesus said to the Jews:

“Destroy this temple and in three days I will raise it up” (John 2:19 MKJV).

And the Scripture says of Christ:

“In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not overtake it” (John 1:4-5 MKJV).

It was not possible for death to overtake Christ. Yes, God raised Him up, for He is God, made manifest at “the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ….the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings and Lord of lords, Who alone has immortality, dwelling in light which cannot be approached…” (1 Timothy 6:14-16 MKJV).

God plainly says He is our one and only God and Savior, with no other God formed besides Him:

“You are My witnesses, says the LORD [Yahweh], and My servant whom I have chosen: that you may know and believe Me, and understand that I am He: before Me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after Me. I, even I, am the LORD [Yahweh]; and beside Me there is no Saviour” (Isaiah 43:10-11 KJV).

“Thus says the LORD [Yahweh] the King of Israel, and His Redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside Me there is no God” (Isaiah 44:6 KJV).

God and the Redeemer are One, the first and last, the only God.

Weinland is wrong and will die in his presumptuousness. His goal is to vaunt himself by reconstituting the Worldwide Church of God in his own image. He asks if anyone has ever seen such claims as his precise timelines and predictions: “This is the evidence (witness, testimony) of the true God of Abraham!

Apparently Ron has forgotten his spiritual father’s predictions that fell to the ground. And is making predictions so impressive that we should think we are seeing God before our eyes? Isn’t he counting his chickens before they hatch? His predictions, like his father’s, are not coming to pass. That is because both of them are false prophets.

One thing Weinland is right about, however: In these days God is revealing His will and purpose to all mankind. He is revealing Himself. That is what we and The Path of Truth are all about.

Christians- Thank President Bush

This article articulates the good President Bush has done during the past eight years. We as Christians need to remember this and thank him. Liberal Christians should read this to to understand why Evangelical Christians voted him in and why again we will vote conservative in the 2008 election.
God demands us to be a light against the darkness ; HE does not wink at sin and neither should we. We should not tolerate politicians who pander to the Pro- choice movement or sexually immoral. We must remember God will judge these sins ; HE will also hold us accountable for not taking a stand against these sins . This accountabilty includes how we vote. That said here is the article.
Action Alert: Thank You, President Bush!

If you’re sick of the pre-election media environment, take heart – the yard signs, unwelcome political mail and grating television commercials will be gone soon. No matter how much they seemingly detract from the task before us, we can’t forget that choosing a leader of the free world is serious business.

Before either John McCain or Barack Obama become president-elect, we at CMC believe it’s appropriate to honor the service and leadership of President George W. Bush. You may not have supported all of his policies or all of his actions, but it is inarguable that a sovereign God placed this nation in his care, and he deserves our thanks for answering the challenge.

George W. Bush’s most prominent legacy undoubtedly was determined Sept. 11, 2001, when radical Islamic terrorists brought down New York’s World Trade Center and severely damaged the Pentagon, killing thousands of people in the process. It’s safe to say that the President’s response – our resulting conflicts in Afghanistan and Iraq – and the debate over it will dominate the historical accounts of this decade that our grandchildren will study someday.

We hope those history books will also mention the humility and grace the president has displayed on the public stage, both as a candidate who openly professed his faith in Jesus Christ and as a president who used the bully pulpit of the presidency to advocate for the sanctity of human life, the biblical definition of marriage and the Founding Fathers’ intent for the judicial branch of government. On these crucial issues, President Bush was right on target.

He set a tone for his emphasis on moral views in August 2001, when he limited federal funding for human embryonic stem-cell research to existing stem-cell lines. At the time it was, to some in the pro-life movement, an unpalatable compromise – but it reflected the reality that Big Science had been blithely using unique human lives for spare parts in their quest to solve medical mysteries, often sticking taxpayers for the bill.

Today, the moral issue over embryonic stem-cell research has nearly been made moot because of scientific breakthroughs. We hope that doesn’t overshadow the courage President Bush showed to profoundly limit the government’s involvement in funding the destruction of human life for science’s sake.

The President also used the power of his office to defend marriage. Cynics would suggest that he used the issue to mobilize “values voters” to his cause, but that ignores the reality of runaway judicial tyranny. The Massachusetts Supreme Court in 2003 did more to energize pro-family activists than any sitting politician could have, when they invented a “right” to same-sex marriage. President Bush can hardly be blamed for being on the right, and righteous, side of this issue.

His most lasting legacies may be the service of John Roberts and Samuel Alito, the Supreme Court justices he nominated during his second term. They are proving to be among the most capable jurists the court has had in decades. Even better, they seem to understand the constitutionally assigned role of the judicial branch of government, which clearly cannot be said for all of their colleagues.

President Bush has been vilified in the mainstream media and opinion press for many reasons over the last eight years, and much of that was to be expected. After all, Jesus Christ told his disciples, “If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you” (John 15:18, ESV); any true follower of His can expect the same treatment. Bush may not have been our first evangelical president, but historians will do well to note the price he paid for boldly declaring his faith while in office.

Before we select a new president, it’s fitting to thank the current occupant of the Oval Office. Click here to send an e-mail to President Bush, thanking him for his faithful service to America these past eight years. He deserves our appreciation and thanks.
